FAQ
You don't have to figure that out on your own.
Dr. Au will evaluate your individual situation and explain the diagnosis, treatment options, benefits, limitations, expected outcomes, and alternatives when appropriate.
We'll answer your questions and give you the information you need to make a decision that fits both your health and your goals.
That's okay.
We'll explain what we recommend, why we recommend it, and how urgent the treatment is. Some conditions need prompt attention, while others can be monitored.
We want you to make an informed decision rather than feel pressured into one.
Our goal is to partner with you—not make decisions for you.
Yes. We welcome patients at different stages of life, from children to adults and seniors.
Having your family's dental care in one place makes it easier to establish consistent preventive care and develop a long-term relationship with a dental team you know and trust.
Dr. Julie Au is the owner and dentist at Central Dental Care. She believes in building genuine, long-term relationships with her patients and being actively involved in their care.
Whether you're coming in for preventive care or more complex treatment, our goal is for you to know who is caring for you and why they're recommending your treatment.
We do our best to accommodate dental emergencies as quickly as possible.
If you're experiencing severe tooth pain, swelling, a broken tooth, dental trauma, or another urgent dental problem, please contact our office. We'll help determine the appropriate next step.
If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
Your first visit is an opportunity for us to get to know you and understand your dental health.
Depending on your individual needs, your appointment may include a review of your medical and dental history, a comprehensive examination, necessary digital X-rays or other diagnostic imaging, and a discussion with Dr. Au about your concerns and goals.
We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Your visit is designed around you.

Yes! We welcome children and families.
We believe early dental experiences can shape how someone feels about dentistry for the rest of their life. Our goal is to make children's visits positive, comfortable, and educational while helping parents understand how to protect their child's oral health.
We want your child to grow up thinking, “Going to the dentist is just part of taking care of myself.”
Absolutely. You're not alone, and we won't judge you for being nervous about dental care.
We take the time to understand what makes you uncomfortable and explain what we're doing before we do it. Our goal is to make your visits as comfortable and predictable as possible.
If you've avoided the dentist because of fear, embarrassment, or a difficult past experience, you can start where you are. We'll meet you there.
I particularly like that last sentence for your practice.
Absolutely. You don't need dental insurance to become a patient at Central Dental Care.
We believe everyone deserves access to quality dental care, whether you have insurance, are self-pay, or have a plan that doesn't provide the coverage you need.
Our team can discuss treatment costs and payment options with you so you can make an informed decision about your care.
Yes. We work with a number of dental insurance plans and are happy to help you understand your benefits.
However, insurance coverage does not determine the care we recommend. Every insurance plan is different, and coverage can change depending on your plan and employer.
Our priority is always your dental health. We will help you understand what your insurance is expected to cover and what your estimated out-of-pocket costs may be before treatment whenever possible.
Your insurance should help pay for your care—it shouldn't dictate your care.
At Central Dental Care, we believe dentistry should feel personal—not transactional. Dr. Julie Au takes the time to listen to your concerns, explain what she sees, and help you understand your treatment options before you make a decision.
We combine personalized care with modern dental technology to provide comprehensive, comfortable, and efficient dentistry for individuals and families.
Our goal isn't simply to treat your teeth. It's to become a dental home you can trust for years to come.
